Paras Khadka is a Nepalese cricketer, who is the current captain of the Nepal national cricket team. All-rounder Paras is a right-handed batsman, a right-arm medium-fast bowler, and an occasional off break bowler.Paras Khadka became the sixth Nepalese cricketer to score an international century, when he slammed an unbeaten 106 off just 77 balls against Kuwait during the 2012 ACC Trophy Elite in October 2012.
An allrounder who bats in the middle order and bowls medium pace, Paras Khadka represented Nepal in three Under-19 World Cups, in 2004, 2006 and 2008, while also a regular in the senior national team. Groomed for captaincy through positions of leadership in age-group teams, he took over the national captaincy in 2009. He is also a man for a pressure situation - he bowled the crucial last over in the Plate semi-final against South Africa in 2006 to take his team into the final and finished the tournament as the highest wicket-taker for Nepal. Khadka was the Man of the Tournament in the Under-19 ACC Trophy in 2007, a performance which helped Nepal qualify for what was his last Under-19 World Cup. Khadka took 12 wickets in the 2008 World Cup and led Nepal to their second successive Plate final. Khadka enjoyed reasonable personal success at the ICC World Cricket League Division Four tournament in Italy in August 2010, averaging 38.25 with the bat and 26.00 with the ball, but Nepal faltered at the tournament and failed to secure promotion to Division Three
He is also the captain of Vishal Warriors in the Nepal Premier League and APF Club in the National League.
Under his captaincy, Nepal won the 2010 ICC World Cricket League Division Five in Nepal, 2012 ICC World Cricket League Division Four in Malaysia, 2012 ACC Trophy Elite in UAE, 2013 ICC World Cricket League Division Three in Bermuda, 2014 ICC World Cricket League Division Three in Malaysia, participated in the 2014 ICC World Twenty20 in Bangladesh and gained the Twenty20 International status. Arguably, he is one of the best players Nepal has ever produced.
